| This is a wonderful sterling silver handcrafted necklace with Roman micromosaics, c. 1940. The micromosaics have onyx stone borders which in turn are collet set in sterling frames with detailed foliate designs. The necklace is very well made and in excellent condition with no missing tiles. It measures 16 1/2" long and is 2 1/2" wide at the center with the drop itself measuring 1 1/4" x 1". The necklace is simply marked "Sterling" on the clasp. | |||||||||||
