| In the manner of Piet Mondrian’s ”Lozenge Compositiion with Yellow, Black, Blue, Red, and Gray” oil on canvas, signed “PM 21” at the bottom (see photo). Dimensions: 60.1 x 60.1 cm (23 5/8 x 23 5/8 in) - Vertical axis 84.5 cm (33 1/4 in). The Dutch painter Mondrian (1872 – 1944) , born in Amersfoort, Netherlands joined three other painters founded the art periodical and the movement known as De Stijl. The group advocated a style called "neoplasticism," which entailed complete rejection of visually perceived reality as subject matter and the restriction of a pictorial language to its most basic elements of the straight line, primary colours, and the neutrals of black, white, and gray and foreshadowed abstract art. Please note the execution, dimension, material, color and signature is exactly the same as the original Piet Mondrian "Lozenge" at the Art Institute Chicago. Some colleagues believe this is a study by Mondrian. Original similar pieces have sold for over $27 million. Own an iconic finely executed tribute piece for a reasonable cost. | ||||||||
