This specimen piece displays supreme artisanship in the Chinese baroque export carved wood style. The carved frame of extremely rare Zitan wood is accented with a trim of rich rosewood. Antique Zitan wood, exceptionally rare (virtually extinct), is the most dense and prized tropical hardwood anywhere in the world.
