This is a neat green Shelley China, England cream and sugar basin set in pattern number 13564/36 in the Gainsborough or Ripon shape. The pattern is a lovely strong green with a pattern like a white stencil or cut out floral design with raised white hand applied enamel dots and gold banding and trim. The cream, creamer or milk jug is 3 inches high by 4 long and the sugar basin or bowl is 1.75 inches high by 3.4 inches in diameter. This is a wonderful vintage or retro wooden salad bowl. The bowl was hand made & hand painted with a vegetable design and part of my private collection. It was received as a wedding gift in 1940 by the woman got it from. The bowl is solid maple and measures 13.5 inches in diameter and stands 4.25 inches high on 3 ball feet.
