This is an antique victorian silver plated knife rest I brought back from England recently. The knife rest has ball ends rather like a satellite and a center bar like a turned banister. The knife rest dates to 1890-1910. The knife rest measures 4.25 inches long and stands 1.75 inches high and could be considered a carving knife rest. Knife rests were a victorian invention to keep the table cloth clean. It is really cute and quite collectible. Shipping in the US by USPS Priority insured.

This is a really fabulous hand painted floral pattern bone china teacup and saucer made by an unknown factory in Stafordshire England in 1900-1920. The teacup and saucer have hand painted violets with enamel accents and gold trim in a pattern called Woodlands. The cup 2.25 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter. Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This is an absolutely fabulous salad bowl or console bowl in brilliant cut lead crystal made by the Gorham Company of USA with a hallmarked sterling silver beaded rim. The bowl measures 9 inches in diamteter by 4 inches high and is fabulous! The hallmarks are the Gorham marks of G lion anchor S2806 followed by the trident.
