This is a cute mottoware, motto ware or Devon ware teacup and saucer from Watcombe Devon Ware England with a British registry date of 1916-1917. The cup and saucer set is a traditional cottage design with the motto Early Sow Early Mow. The cup measures 2.25 inches high and is 2.5 inches in diameter the saucer is 5 inches in diameter. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of crazing consistent with age. A wonderful set.

This is a cute little motto ware or mottoware sugar basin or sugar bowl made by the Watcombe, Torquay England pottery 1867-1901. The motto is Sweeten To Your Liking and the bowl measures 2 inches high by 3.5 inches diameter at the bottom and 2.75 inche in diameter at the top. The sugar bowl is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. A very collectible piece. This is an antique ironstone blue on white transfer or transferware dinner plate in the Denmark pattern made by Thomas Furnival, Furnival's Ltd. Staffordshire, England 1905-1913. The pattern was actually made until 1968 but the mark dates it to the earlier period. The 10 inch in diameter ironstone plate is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and only minor use marks. An older example of a popular pattern. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.

This carpet ball or carpet bowl is over 100 years old and is of original glazed hard fired clay. The design is an interesting one of white and black plaid. Plaid was a favorite of Queen Victoria. The carpet ball is about 3.5 inches in diameter. It is quite heavy. The condition is good. It has been used, and has 1 hole and 1 repaired hole, but as these balls go it's in good condition.
