This is a very old master open salt or salt dip, dating to 1890-1910. It measures 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 2.75 inches high. I bought it in England. It is mouth blown, a rich cranberry color and stands 8.5 inches high with a ground pontil. The glass is about 1/8 inch thick. There are caliper marks to be vaguely seen along the sides. It is an oval fluted crystal master salt I brought back from England. It measures 3.75 inches by 2.75 inches by 1.75 inches high. It looks to me in the light like it is turning purple. It is elegant and dates to 1890-1910. It has one very small shallow chip on the top but is otherwise in very good condition with very little wear. I love it! The mouth blown pitcher has an applied clear handle that is very organic and a lovely ruffled rim showing off the cased glass. The pitcher measures 7 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter and has a partially ground pontil.
