This is a neat silver plate royal commemorative teaspoon with an elegant art deco design and the profiles of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England who are the parents of the current Queen Elizabeth II. The tea spoon, coffee spoon or demitasse spoon was made for their coronation in 1937 as king and queen of England. The spoon measures 4.5 inches long. This is an unusual royal commemorative sugar sifting spoon. This silver plated sugar sifting spoon was made to commemorate the coronation in 1937 of King George VI and Elizabeth, the parents of the present Queen Elizabeth II of England. Sifting sugar onto muffins, crumpets and pancakes was a popular Victorian tea table ritual. This spoon measures 4.75 inches long. The profiles of their majesties form the spoon's handle finial.
