This is an unusual royal commemorative sugar sifting spoon. This silver plated sugar sifting spoon was made to commemorate the coronation in 1937 of King George VI and Elizabeth, the parents of the present Queen Elizabeth II of England. Sifting sugar onto muffins, crumpets and pancakes was a popular Victorian tea table ritual. This spoon measures 4.75 inches long. The profiles of their majesties form the spoon's handle finial. A very different and collectible piece for the tea table or royalty collection. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $8.50.
