Thorley Swan Flower English Bone China Posy Vintage

This is a Thorley, Staffordshire, England bone china paperweight or ornament that is a hand made bouquet of flowers on a bone china swan. It is rare to find older pieces in such good condition! This piece was made in the 1950s and features a deep pink rose, a yellow rose, and a pink and blue purple flower like popies or primroses with green leaves. We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these arrangements by hand from a lump of clay. The factories are closed now and it is indeed a dying art! Beautiful! Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
