| This is a very different Chelsea or Grandmother's Ware teacup and saucer made by an unidentified pottery in the Staffordshire region of England between 1850-1870s. The victorian pattern is called Blue Sprig or Chelsea Sprig but has been overpainted and then glazed and fired with a copper luster on the sprig decoration. Very unusual. The pretty cup and saucer set is of white molded ironstone and the cup measures 2.75 inches high by 3.25 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter. The tea cup and saucer are in very good condition with no chips, or cracks. There are a mineral dust speck or two under glaze which is normal in pieces of this age. A wonderful and very collectible piece. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured. | ||||||
