Shelley King George V Mary Coronation Mug England 1911

This is a wonderful antique porcelain mug manufactured by Shelley China Late Foley, England in 1911 for the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, grandparents of the present Queen Elizabeth II of England. The mug measures 2.75 inches high by 3 in diameter and has wonderful graphics. There are actually 2 different sets of photos used by Shelley for the coronation, and this has the photos more in 3/4 face. The back is the great lion, shield and coronation dates and a crown, wreath horn and banner inside. There are no cracks or restorations and very little gold wear, and only the tiniest dent under the glaze at the base of the back. There is some kiln dust at the back bottom underglaze which is normal. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
