This is a rare and absolutely fabulous antique victorian porcelain soap dish lid made by Copelands China Spode works Staffordshire England in the 1890s. It is part of a larger wash set. Many of the pieces didn't survive the trip home from England. Sigh...The soap dish lid has a gorgeous mottled blue ground on white with butterflies and flowers. They are all heavily trimmed in gold and there is a victorian aesthetic movement or English arts and crafts heavy gold border. The lid measures 1.5 inches high by 4 in diameter and is in excellent condition. It is a very rare and beautiful piece and well worth having. It would make a wonderful wall decoration and people collect just lids! Irreplaceable. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $7.90.
