Staffordshire Flower Posy Bowl Urn Paperweight Mint Lrg

This is a beautiful Staffordshire, England bone china paperweight, posy or ornament that is a hand made bouquet of flowers in a white bowl. It is rare to find these pieces in excellent, mint condition! This piece was made in the 1970s by Royale Stratford China of Staffordshire, England and measures 4 inches high by 4 inches in diameter and features 2 carnation-type flowers, a pale pink rose and 2 blue flower. There are also green leaves. We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these arrangements by hand from a lump of clay.The workrooms have all closed now and this is a dying art.
