Biscuit Barrel George Jones Art Nouveau Crescent Lily

This is an absolutely beautiful biscuit barrel or biscuit jar made by George Jones and Sons, Crescent China England from 1891-1893. The mint condition antique ceramic biscuit barrel or cookie jar has an art nouveau design of water lillies, swirled designs and gold trim that are very reminiscent of Charles Rennir McIntosh designs, a famous designer of the period. The biscuit jar has EPNS silver plate fittings which are in exceptionally fine condition and the jar measures 6.5 inches tall without counting the handle by 6 inches in diameter. The biscuit barrel is in excellent, mint condition with no chips, cracks, plate wear. Absolutely beautiful and very difficult to find from this period in such excellent condition.
