Figural Silver Birds On Branch Salt And Pepper Antique

This is an antique American silver plated figural salt and pepper set or cruet set of 2 birds on base like a branch with flowers, leaves and twigs. The birds figural salt and pepper set was made 1900-1920 by a silver company with the symbol of a star and shield that I can't identify. The base is marked Pat Appl'd For. The salt and pepper set measures 3 inches high by 5 inches wide by 2.75 inches deep and polished up beautifully from the black state I acquired it in. The set is in almost excellent condition with very little plate loss. The base is totally intact, but there are some minor plate loss on the birds from use so I rate it a very good +++ condition. I have had only 3 sets of these in 30 years in the business and love them! The set has been reproduced in Japan in the 1950-1960s with much lesser quality and marked Japan, but this is the original, antique USA set. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
