This is a souvenir tea caddy spoon or tea scoop made to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary of England in 1935. The tea caddy spoon is marked EPNS, measures 4 inches long and has an applied enamel finial with the king's cipher and a dedication. The oval bowl of the spoon is ribbed and is called a shell. The souvenir royal commemorative tea caddy spoon is in very good +++ condition. Tea caddy spoons were devised in the 17th century to be locked in tea caddies with the precious tea that was so expensive at the time.
