This shade form vase is a fine example of American Art Glass. Executed in a cream colored base glass, a light iridescence covers the surface of the vase inside and out. The background décor is a bi colored pulled feather pattern in green and gold. The six feathers are pulled down the body from the ruffled rim. This beautiful trumpet vase was produced by Steuben, circa 1920's. A fine example of their Gold Aurene glass it has a multi hued iridescent finish with highlights of red, green, and magenta. Excellent condition with a fire polished rim and polished pontil. Measuring 8 1/4 in. Tall by 3 1/2 in. in Diameter this trumpet form vase is a truly beautiful piece of American Art Glass. Glass of this type may be referenced in books on Frederick Carder and Steuben by Dimitroff and Gardner.
