This Loetz vase is absolutely amazing. Produced by Loetz around 1900 in the diaspora decor this is one of the best examples of this pattern I have seen in many years. The base glass is a scarce salmon pink color covered with an outstanding platinum blue iridescence. The form is great with a flared out rim and a pinch form body that has five dimples. At the turn of the last century Loetz produced an extremely limited quantity of yellow opalescent glass that they named Argus. Produced for a very short period and exceedingly hard to locate, this vase would make a stunning example for any public or private collection.
