This wonderful decanter in pink rosaline & alabaster is a fantastic example of the work of Frederick Carder. Manufactured at Stevens & Williams it is reminiscent of the style that appears in his later work at Steuben. Standing slightly over 12 inches Tall by 4 1/2 inches wide the vase is in excellent condition. The body of the decanter is rosaline, as is the hollow ball of the stopper,while the applied foot and lower portion of the stopper are alabaster. Polished pontil.

An excellent example of English Cameo Glass from the Gem Cameo Series by Thomas Webb & Sons. This vase is intricately carved with a finely detailed design depicting a pattern of flowing vines and flowers in White on a Black background. The background is actually a very deep brownish Red when strongly backlit. Surrounding the top rim and base is a detailed border in an Oriental Motif.
