| This is a very fine example of turn of the century French Cameo Glass by Daum, circa 1900. Executed in a base color of golden yellow, this vase has a wonderful light iridescence covering the surface. The background has a chipped ice pattern surrounding the floral decoration. It also bears a saying in French that reads “A tout Seigneur tout honneur”. Measuring 3 ¾ inches in Height by 2 ½ inches in Diameter this vase is in excellent condition. Polished pontil that bears the Daum Nancy signature along with the Cross of Lorraine. The Sterling base also has the appropriate hallmarks. Wear to gilding. Overall, this vase is a stunning example of French Art Nouveau glass that would go perfect in a collection alongside pieces by Galle, Tiffany or Loetz. | |
