| This shade form vase is a fine example of American Art Glass. Executed in a cream colored base glass, a light iridescence covers the surface of the vase inside and out. The background décor is a bi colored pulled feather pattern in green and gold. The six feathers are pulled down the body from the ruffled rim. Measuring 7 ˝ inches in Height by 5 ˝ inches in Diameter this vase is in very condition. Semi Polished ground pontil. A few annealing flaws are present on the base from manufacturing. Noted for accuracy, but not affecting the beauty of the piece. The form and decoration may be attributed to one of the American glass houses such as Trevaise, Kew Blas or Quezal. Overall, this vase is a stunning and rare example of American Art Glass that would go perfect in a collection alongside pieces by Galle, Tiffany, Steuben or Loetz. | |
