Yixing teapot covered in pewter The inside Yixing pot was made by Yang Pengnian a truly well-known Yixing potter of the early 19th Century Outside is in very good condition the inside has some corrosion due to too much tea being brewed in it. Yang flourished in the first half of the 19th century when this type of pot really was in its heyday.
This is a small but not miniature yixing teapot. It it made to hold just enough tea for pouring into one cup. It is so well-patinated and used that we cannot read the maker's mark on the bottom. But it is old and just the pot for someone who drinks alone. Late 19th Century, Yixing teaware. It is 15 cm from mouth to handle; H 6.5 cm
