This pair of ivory cups was carved in the late Republican Period, maybe even after 1949. They are in excellent condition but lack patina: they have not been out in the air. They are ivory, not bone. They are well carved. They have a slight yellowing, are not pure white as new ivory is.
The carving is like that of rhino
