h is 30 width 38 In the mid Qing a tree was felled. It was found to have many indentations. It was then cut into pieces and then a Qing master carver proceeded to make in into a scroll pot He cleaned out the junk n the indentations, he probably wiped off the outer skin and then he cleaned off the top and finished it off. For a long time it sat in the study of one North China scholar and then it came to hand. It is large but not intimidating It is in very good condition.
