a nice bura phallic figure
broken and reglued on the front

The Bura people :almost nothing is known of this shadowy Nigerian/Malian group. They are said to have existed between 1100 AD and 1500 ADD, however the only archaeological excavated site (Nyamey) dates between the 14th and 16th centuries.
Many Bura pieces are either anthropomorphic or phallomorphic, and are often abstract.
