This is a superb “Hampatong Pantak” a figure portray of ancestor in west Kalimantan, which have the power to protect the village from malevolent spirit. this one was brought back in 1970 by a dutch collector in the aera of Ngaju .it is probably 19th century ;the wood is iron wood and is very patinated specially the head which has weathered patina .very fine face features .90cm high
