Framed "Blanket Toss" signed "Ken Lisbourne, Pt. Hope, Alaska, 80, 15/500". Nalukataq is the spring whaling festival of the Inupiaq Eskimos of Northern Alaska and is characterized famously by the Eskimo Blanket Toss. Ken Lisbourne is an Inupiaq Eskimo; his Inupiaq name is Tigiqaq Ooyamtoan. Alaska, circa 1980. 15 out of 500. Picture size 8 3/4" x 12", frame size: 15 1/2" x 19 1/4".

Framed "Butchering the Bowhead Whale" (Avataayunk-Ingootuk) signed "Ken Lisbourne, Pt. Hope, Alaska, 80,  99/500". This shows men cutting the blubber off a whale and ladies cutting the slabs into chunks. Ken Lisbourne is an Inupiaq Eskimo; his Inupiaq name is Tigiqaq Ooyamtoan. Alaska, circa 1980. 99 out of 500. Picture size: 12" x 9"; frame size: 14 1/2" x 19".

Shaker candlestick, referred to as a shoemaker's candlestick, hand turned in maple. Center spindle is a hand carved screw and the candle stands turn effortlessly up and down the spindle, presumably to move the candle closer to the work at hand for better illumination. Stamped Shaker Works. In very good condition, works terrific. Late 20th century, probably 1970. 14" wide x 17" high x 6 3/4" diameter.
