A Chinese soapstone (shou shan stone) seal carved very finely with a Buddhistic lion and his young atop a rectangular plinth which is carved lightly in low relief with panel of flowers and birds. A Chinese spinach nephrite jade brush rest shaped as a table and incised with emblems of good fortune and longevity.The stone is a good deep colour with a little whitish streak on the top . There is residual paper labels at the base of the item.
