A Cairoware Syrian brass casket of square shape with raised hinged cover, decorative engraving and Arabic calligraphy all over.
The interior is lined with wood.These boxes were used for Qoran storage or scribe's items. A good example of its kind.Age: late 19 C. size: 7 inches ( 18cm) x 7 1/4 inches ( 18.7cm)x 5 1/4inches( 13.5cm) high. condition: very good.
