| A Chinese ivory box, carved in Canton with shaped vignettes a gainst a diaper ground with the Buddhist symbols of the Knot, the Vase, the Canopy and the Lotus. The carving is fine and detailed and all the ivory panels are free from cracks . We can obtain CITES EXPORT LICENCE , if necessary (2/3 weeks). age: C. 1880. size: 10 inches (25 cm) long. condition : very good, the metal hinges which are the original ones look a little fragile and care is recommended in opening and shutting of the box. | |||||||||||
