| A Chinese ivory pair of plaques, each superbly carved with a three dimensional scene of pagodas, boats, figures at leisure activities, buildings, shrubs and foliage, all executed with breathtaking virtuosity and in extreme detail.In excellent and undisturbed condition, these panels represent the best of Cantonese carving and being a pair makes them even more desirable.Age: C. 1850. size: 7 3/4 inches (18.5cm) long x 2 3/4 inches (7cm) maximum width.condition: excellent.
