| A Chinese ivory box carved all over with the typical Canton School of scenes depicting gardens, pagodas, pavilions and everyday life.The central panel of the lid is enclosed by a border featuring flora. The carving is detailed and fine. Age: C. 1880. size: 9 1/2inches (24cm) x 3 3/4 inches (9.2cm) x 2 7/8inches (7.5 cm) high. condition: the panels are all sound, the base has a couple of age related cracks, as seen in the image.The apron of one of the short sides is an old replacement.
