Pair of Continental silver candlesticks, Ca. 1880. Bases are square; columns have etched design in center. The etched circular design on the bases is also continued in spots on the column of each candlestick and near the top. @11 1/2" high; bases are @4 1/4" square. Very good condition.

Pair of sterling silver mounted-on-velvet picture frames, Birmingham, England, 1904. Silver is pierced (allowing the forest green velvet to show through)and is foliate in design. Although the frames are "square," the portion through which the photo is seen is round. The border is @7" square; the round portion will show a @3 3/4" photo, but will take a 5"x5" photo.Frames have been re-backed in forest green velvet. Normal wear.

Sterling silver octagonal cake basket, made in the city of Sheffield, England in 1908. Has ball feet; the "ball" design is continued on the open work handle. Basket has pierced, foliate design; edges "curl" inward. Has Old English "P" monogram inside basket. @11 1/4" long x @8 1/4" wide x @8" high (to top of handle). Normal wear.

Silver plate three-bottle tantalus, Walker and Hall, Sheffield, England,Ca.1900.Bottles (cut in a striped pattern with a "starburst" on underside)are original, as is the key. Has an unusual opening mechanism: when the key is turned in the lock, the bracket holding the bottles tilts forward, allowing the bottles to be easily removed. Removable cap (which can also double as a "shot" glass) reveals a strainer through which drinks are poured. Sterling silver picture frame, Dominick & Haff, New York, Ca. 1895. All over pierced, with cherubs surrounding the top cartouche (which is engraved with a script "RE").
