Sterling silver footed box, London, 1903, William Comyns - maker. Pierced, hinged lid depicts what is most probably a wedding scene, and is decorated with wedding bells, flowers, leaves and a couple inside of a horse-drawn coach surrounded by cheering people. Sides of box are decorated with birds, flowers and faces; acanthus leaves decorate tops of curved legs. Decanters are in excellent condition and are hob-nail cut. @11 1/4" high (to top of handle) x @13" across base x @4 3/4" deep. Each decanter is @8 1/2" high (to top of stopper) x @3" square. Silver plating is in excellent condition. A really nice item to own.

Fantastic sterling silver footed, double inkstand, Shreve, Crump & Low Co., Boston, 1869-1888. Having a lovely, pierced gallery with a gadrooned border, this beautiful inkstand stands on four "paw" feet. The two sterling silver-mounted crystal inkwells have hinged lids and are in excellent condition. @10 3/4" across (from foot to foot) x @6 1/2" deep (from foot to foot) x @2 3/4" high at the highest point of the gallery. There is a place for pens. A real gem!
