| Oxblood colored leather letter box with ornate sterling silver mounts, London, 1893, William Comyns - maker. Has family "crest" with motto in center cartouche. Probably owned by Alexander Allan, Esq., a ship owner from Glasgow. Has key, but we can't get lock to work. It is, however, in the "open" position. 12" wide x @7 1/4" high. Interior of box in pristine condition.Would look great on any desk! | |||||||
