The antique wooden wood plane is 6 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall plus another 1 1/2 inches for the plane handle. It has its blade and has been well used judging from the wear on the hand hold. It dates from the late 1800s/ early 1900s.

The antique cigar press hails from Virginia and dates from the early 1900s. The wooden press is 22 inches long by 5 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches thick. There are two halves that come apart with the slots for the cigars in the middle. Used in the hand manufacturing of cigars, this press shaped the cigars into the desired shape once they were rolled and cut. (See also the antique cigar cutter that I have listed.)

The antique cigar cutter used in the hand manufacturing of cigars is from Virginia and dates from the early 1900s. The large rolling board has 5 blocks of wood secured by long bolts to keep the surface stable and flat. The board is 13 7/8 inches by 9 inches. The attached metal "gutter" is 6 7/8 inches long by 1 inch wide and there is a guillotine-like cutter for cutting the cigars into lengths. Everything is in very good condition. The silver plate fruit spoons were manufactured by Holmes & Edwards (International) in the Assyrian/Greek pattern in 1889. The spoons are 5 3/4 inches long with a shaped and pointed bowl which makes removing orange or grapefruit segments easy. In the Victorian tradition, there had to be an implement for all occasions and uses and these are a beautiful example.

The silver plate Victorian nut picks date from the late 19th century. They were produced by Holmes and Edwards (International) in the pattern "Assyrian/Greek" which was produced in 1889. The Victorian nut picks measure 4 7/8 inches long and there is nothing like these picks to dig out the walnut and pecan meat from the shells.

The set of 6 soup spoons was produced by Community Silver in the St Regis pattern in 1911. The round bowled soup spoons are 7 inches long and the bowl is 1 7/8 inches across. The pattern is very simple with a decorative edge around the handle and a small decoration at the top of the handle. There is a monogram at the top of the handle - an "E" or an "F", but it could be open to interpretation! The sterling silver salt spoon is 2 3/8 inches long and 5/8 inch across the bowl. The bowl of the salt spoon is ribbed. There is some slight pitting in the bowl from the use with salt. The salt spoon is marked Sterling and dates from c. 1910.

The set of 6 sterling silver salt spoons have barley twist handles and gold wash bowls. They are marked Sterling and measure 2 5/8 inches long with the bowl measuring 3/4 inch across. Two of the salt spoons have pitting caused by the salt - see picture. The salt spoons date from c. 1910 to 1920

The "Pointed Antique" sterling silver salt spoon is marked "Sterling" and has an arrow maker's mark. The salt spoon measures 3 1/8 inches long and the bowl is 7/8 inch across. The salt spoon dates from c. 1880. We have 2 of these spoons available.

The antique china salts have floral bowls with gold accents on the edge and feet. There are 5 salts available and 2 of the salts are identical. The salts have pansies and forget-me-nots painted in the bowls. They measure 1 3/4 inches across the top opening, 1/2 inch tall and 2 1/2 inches across the bottom including the feet.
