The antique cigar press hails from Virginia and dates from the early 1900s. The wooden press is 22 inches long by 5 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches thick. There are two halves that come apart with the slots for the cigars in the middle. Used in the hand manufacturing of cigars, this press shaped the cigars into the desired shape once they were rolled and cut. (See also the antique cigar cutter that I have listed.)

The antique cigar cutter used in the hand manufacturing of cigars is from Virginia and dates from the early 1900s. The large rolling board has 5 blocks of wood secured by long bolts to keep the surface stable and flat. The board is 13 7/8 inches by 9 inches. The attached metal "gutter" is 6 7/8 inches long by 1 inch wide and there is a guillotine-like cutter for cutting the cigars into lengths. Everything is in very good condition. The set of 6 soup spoons was produced by Community Silver in the St Regis pattern in 1911. The round bowled soup spoons are 7 inches long and the bowl is 1 7/8 inches across. The pattern is very simple with a decorative edge around the handle and a small decoration at the top of the handle. There is a monogram at the top of the handle - an "E" or an "F", but it could be open to interpretation! The antique china salts have floral bowls with gold accents on the edge and feet. There are 5 salts available and 2 of the salts are identical. The salts have pansies and forget-me-nots painted in the bowls. They measure 1 3/4 inches across the top opening, 1/2 inch tall and 2 1/2 inches across the bottom including the feet.
