The cinnabar egg is on a stand and measures 5 3/8 inches tall including the stand and 3 inches across at the widest part of the egg. The beautifully carved and lacquered egg was acquired in China in the early 1970s.
The cinnabar box measures 6 inches by 5 1/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches deep. The carved, lacquered box was bought in China in the early 1970s and is a great example of cinnabar art.
