| Melike Ababiyanik, huge and monumental vase for Royal Copenhagen, covered with a brown glaze, following the contures of the hand shaped decoration. She came together with another Turkish potter, Alev Siesbye in 1964, and left the factory some few years later c. 1970. She did many monumental vases in a chamotte-like stoneware in easy recognizable shapes, most inspired from nature forms, like seeds, flower capsules and similar organic things. This unique piece is no less than 20½" high, signed with the 3 wavy blue lines of Royal Copenhagen, M's mark and it's in mint condition. | |||||||||
