A Chinese cricket gourd (or cage) with finely molded gourd body, hardwood rims (walnut and rosewood) and a tortoise shell cap.
The box is crowned with an intricately carved tortoise shell slightly domed cap depecting two cranes with small ivory dot eyes sitting among pine branches.
