Bronze Tibetan Kubera Statue Lord of Weath and Guardian
This Bronze statue captures the image of the lord of wealth and guardian of the Northern side. Kubera, an god from the Hindu mythology, was said to have performed austerities for a thousand years and was made to be the god of wealth, guardian of all the treasures of the earth. Also worshiped by Tibetan Buddhist, Kubera statue is seen sometimes in Tibetan monasteries, in front of the door entryways of Tibetan homes. Most of his manifestations show Kubera holding the mongoose, which spits out jewels, but not in this depiction, here he is seen holding vase with jewels spilling over, a more common depiction in the Tibetan Buddhist mythology. Size: 8" x 11" x 4".
