Cultural Revolution Poster - May Seventh Directive
Titled “Follow Chairman Mao’s May Seven Directive Marching Forward Bravely,” this poster was created by Chinese Military Museum, published by People’s Publishing House in 1971. The poster originates from an oil painting which showed the PLA soldiers, military nurses and national guards holding the red flag and Mao’s red books marching forward. The woman soldier in the background is holding a board that says “Conduct Revolutionary Big Criticism.” 30” x 20”. See more descriptions of the poster and other May 7th directives at Stefan Lansberger’s site, located here: http://www.iisg.nl/~landsberger/m7.html
