This is a lovely antique poured wax baby doll with the stamp of Charles Morrell on the chest. Dolls go up and down in terms of popularity, but the workmanship involved in the making of poured wax dolls is amazing. The arms, legs and head are of poured wax. She has inset glass eyes, very light eyebrows, inset hair, and a cloth body. The wax legs, head, arms are all original. The clothes are fabulous, and I don't think have been off the doll until I undressed it for pictures.
Small woolen knitted booties with silk ties, a muslin shift, a charming woolen barracoat with hand-stitched embroidery and silk ties, a hand-stitched slip with lace trimming, wonderful hand done tucks and cloth covered buttons, and a christening dress with gathers separated by lace and decorated with french knots and feather stitching.
Fabulous wired silk hat with silk ribbons and lace, and a two-layered woolen cape with lace that matches the hat and silk ribbons.
This is an wonderful doll with label and a fabulous outfit.Condition: dolls hair sparse, bit of moth damage on cape. Size: height- 14-1/4 inches.

A lovely presentation. Papier mache head with inset glass eyes and well-painted features. An original brown mohair wig, composition arms and legs. I am assuming the body is cloth as I do not want to remove the wonderful clothing to see.
She is dressed as Edward VII's wife, Queen Alexandra, with her distinctive pearl necklace, and her coronation outfit in velvet, silk and faux ermine. The dress has decorative beading and gold metallic tassels. Her hat is velvet, with gold braid and jewels.
Condition: fine with some age wear on the silk part of the dress

A very sweet Chad Valley doll with a full blonde mohair wig, inset glass eyes, painted eyebrows and lashes, and painted two tone lips. Felt face with lovely clean complexion and velvet arms, legs, and body. She has a button under the arm, as well as a label on the sole of her foot.
Original organdy dress, muslin teddy, felt shoes, and one original sock. A lovely doll in wonderful condition.
Condition: Very nice. One missing sock as mentioned.

A beautiful antique cloth doll, although I am not sure of the company. She has a pressed felt head, arms, legs, and cloth body. Original mohair wig with a beautifully pursed face and side glancing eyes.
Original belt and organdy dress, muslin teddy undergarment, felt organdy hat, and felt shoes. A very sweet little doll.
Condition: Very good. Colors bright with little or no fading. The felt has a couple of holes and some minor staining on the dress and hat. One button missing, and a bit of water discoloration on the bottom back of neck. Actually none of the aforementioned detracts from the overall appearance.
Size: Height- 13.5 inches.

A lovely antique petit point purse with approximately 60 stitches per inch and an overall design of a garden of flowers and trees in an amazing variety of colors and shadows. Gusset is decorated with flowers as well, and the piping is gold. Chain handle.
Interior of the purse is a pale pink silk with two pockets and a small silk container attached to the inside with a small chain. This was possibly for a mirror or small change. Metal frame with a decorated catch that is highlighted with marcasites. A very fine stitched purse.
Condition: Very nice. Minor age discoloration. Small stain on the interior silk. One marcasite missing. Closes firmly. Size: 6 1/2 X 6 1/2 inches. Height- 11.5 inches to top of c

A very well made leather over wood small traveling sewing, or writing box, marked 'Fenoux 119 - 120 Palais Royale'. The 'e' is somewhat faded out.
The box has a rich blue watered silk lining in the top that once held either sewing or writing implements. This section has a locking mechanism. The bottom of the case has 6 varied wood sections with leather edges. The construction of the box is excellent, with metal edging, handle, and lock. No key, but shuts firmly with a sliding spring catch. Quite a fascinating Palsis Royale piece.
Condition: Minor wear, but nothing significant.
Size: 8 X 5 X 3.25 inches.

A really gorgeous wax doll with likely a reinforced wax head. This beautiful girl has inset blue glass eyes, feathered eyebrows, and a lovely pale brown mohair wig with an original set and braid on top with two silk bows. She has wax over arms and legs, and a delightful pair of painted boots with molded and painted tassels.
Clothing consists of pantaloons, a wool slip, chemise and slip, and a beautiful blue colored walking suit with a gathered form fitting jacket, covered buttons, and a gathered skirt and overskirt.
Along with the walking suit the doll has a lovely silk and lace gathered evening dress. The dress is of a striped silk and lace material with a slightly polka dot gathered material at the bottom. Buttons are covered with silk.
The doll comes with provenance from an exhibition dating the doll to 1879. Her name is Rosina. A fabulous package.
Condition: A lovely doll of this style and age. Wax in excellent condition. Clothing very nice for the age.
