A small Georgian picture frame, possibly mahogany, that is quite unusual in that both the corners and sides are decorated in the shape of riding crops.
The handles of the crops are likely pearwood and there are small dot inlays along the length of the crops. There is a print in the frame at the moment, but it would suit something more important and horse related. Quite rare and beautifully constructed.
Condition: Very nice. Deep rich color and lustre to the wood.
Size: Outside- 13 X 10 X 1 1/2 inches. Inner dimension- 9 1/8 X 6 3/8 inches.

This is a lovely lapis glass scent bottle with relief scenes of an oriental motif, similar to the early Canton fans and carved ivory items. I think this may be an Austrian bottle done in the Chinese style. It has a brass screw top, and is of a lovely rich blue color of glass with intricate designs on both sides.
Size: 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 inch
Condition: very good

A lovely Brewster stereoscope mahogany viewer with an opening top for adjusting the light. Along with the viewer are 36 hold to light colored slides and 6 ordinary views. Many of the slides are marked on the back as to what they are. One is a strange slide with skeletons. This slide has some damage, but color is bright and the damage does not really detract from the image. A very interesting set of slides and viewer.
Size:
Viewer: 7-3/4 x 3-3/4 x 6-3/8 inches
Slides: 7 x 3-1/2 inches
Condition: Viewer is in nice condition. The interior metal mirror has some age discoloration. I have not tried to clean it. Seven of the views have some tissue splitting including the skeleton image mentioned above.

When the pear is opened at the hinge, the inside is enameled in a lovely pink enamel with a floral design. Very unusual pair of hairpins made of Vauxhall glass. This was a glass originating in the early 1700s at a glasswork factory in Vauxhall, England. These are 19th century and still retain all of the glass intact, which is unusual for this type of glass. These were made to emulate flat cut stones of the type used in Georgian jewelry. An interesting pair.
Size: 3-3/8 inches long x 1 inch across the top
Condition: Very good for age, minor glass age flaws, but not distracting.

A lovely pair of small 18th century needlework pictures that are unusual in that they are still vibrant after about 250 years. They are done in extremely fine silk thread tent stitch, and are of pastoral scenes of ladies and gentlemen. The pieces have wonderful shading and coloring in blue, red, green, cream, brown and tan. The workmanship is meticulous. They are in antique oval frames with original brass loops for hanging. Very unusual in this size.
Size: sight size 4 inches x 3 inches, framed 6-1/4 inches x 5-1/2 inches.
Condition: excellent
