This is a fascinating silver coin bank in the shape of a fancy water well, complete with pump, spout, and water bucket. The hinged conical top has a slot for coins and can be locked with a small padlock and key. The front of the main body is elaborately engraved with a space in the center or initials. Back is plain. The bank is marked in several places with a Russian head touchmark, a man riding a horse touchmark, some Russian script, 84 for silver content, and 1895 for the date. I have been told the bank is by P. Milyukov, but I am not certain. Very unusual, and of very sturdy construction.
Condition: Very nice. Some testing scratches on the bottom. Lock works smoothly, as does the top hinge.
Size: height- 4 7/8 inches.
