This is a beautiful Haribako, or Japanese sewing box C. 1910, showing elaborate inlay work of many different woods in intricate designs on three sides, as well as the top. Front of the sewing box has six varied size drawers in a curly birch or maple wood. Each drawer has its original hardware and all open and close smoothly. A very attractive and practical piece, that could be used for jewelry as well as sewing. Woods include, rosewood, birch, maple, ebony, and others.
Condition: Small minor repair to wood on top left rear corner. Otherwise very nice.
