This is an exceptionally beautiful painting of a young Swiss girl dressed in a provincial outfit and painted in bright vivid enamels colors that bring the costume to life. The detail work in the painting is exceptional, with even the crown having several colors.
The piece is counter enameled in a lovely blue gray color. This is on the reverse to support the colors when the piece is fired.
The elaborate brooch frame is gold, and is enameled with black and white highlights.
Original C clasp and pin.
Condition: Some very minor scratches under magnification, but not visible to the naked eye.
Size: 2 1/2 X 1 7/8 inches.

This is a stunning Etruscan Revival 15Kt gold brooch and earrings set with wonderful Etruscan granulation, and featuring a relief design of herons standing in rippled water. The set has been tested 15Kt gold, with either platinum, or white gold, to highlight the water. The gold work in the set is magnificent.
The matching earrings have elaborate tops, and shepherds hooks as fasteners. The tops are attached to the body of earrings by a swivel pin to allow them to swing back and forth.
Exceptional quality pieces like this were done by Tiffany, however there are no markings on the set at all.
Condition: Fine. Rich color to the gold and platinum.
Size: Brooch: width-2 5/8 inches. Height- 7/8 inch.,
Earrings: Height- 1 ½ inches to top of shepherds hook.

This is a lovely antique shell pique pendant locket from the Victorian era. The piece is made of natural shell and inlaid with gold in a delicate leaf, flower, and vine design. There is a cartouche in the center for initials if so desired. The locket opens, and has a metal framed glass partition on both halves for pictures. Bale is a part of the locket. Quite unusual to find a locket in this material, especially with such quality and rich color.
Condition: Excellent.
Size: Height- 1 7/8 inches to top of the bale. Width- 1 ¼ inches.

This is a beautiful Victorian chalcedony and gold brooch done in a leaves and grape cluster design. The piece is tested 9 kt gold with a delicate border framing a beveled oval of chalcedony. The central gold design of leaves, vines, and a turquoise grape cluster is pinned to the chalcedony, giving it a high relief effect. Original C clasp, pin, and added safety pin and chain. Very wearable and pretty.
Condition: Beautiful.

This is a fascinating snake bracelet made of woven hair over a spring coil. The head, tail, and a small heart attached to the head and tail, are gold. Small garnet eyes. The bracelet is really not able to be worn, due to the fragile nature of the woven hair, but is really for a discerning collector of this example of period jewelry.
Condition: Wear on the hair as shown, with losses to two areas of approximately ½ inch.
Size: Expandable. Diameter across the bracelet as seen in the picture, is approximately 2 1/2 inches.

This is quite a rare buckle ring that is hallmarked with a crown, a lion, the letter P, and a beaver, indicating that it is of early Canadian manufacture. Also marked, June 11, 1881 in script. The buckle unfolds, allowing it to possibly hold a lock of hair. Just under the buckle are the initials MCA. Quite an intricate piece, that could be worn as a ring or hung from a chain.
Condition: Fine.

This is a very lovely antique shell cameo set in a 14 Kt gold surround. The carving of Hebe and the Eagle is very well done, and the twisted frame design suits the piece perfectly. Can be worn as a brooch, or a pendant hung from the loop at the top. Colors are beautiful.
Condition: Fine. Under magnification there are small traces of solder on the frame back, but no fractures or hairlines in the shell.
