Exquisite early Georg Jensen sterling silver and Labradorite pendant with marks dating the piece to 1917 – 1927. Reverse is marked 830, raised Georg Jensen mark, Denmark, and the model number 54.
The stone is a large oval piece of Labradorite, which is a veined grey to smoky black color. When the piece is turned in a certain way, the stone has a vivid blue iridescence, which in the case of this stone, is called labradorescence. Labradorite is only found in the Scandinavian peninsula and in Labrador, Canada. Quite a striking piece, especially when the stone's iridescence is apparent.

Size: Height- 2 5/8 inches to top of bale (not including rings). Width- 1 ¼ inches.
