Wonderful antique bronze medallion box with a raised profile of the Duke of Wellington on one side,
and a dedication to him on the reverse side. The two halves separate to reveal eleven double sided paper discs listing his battles, and two one sided discs set into the top and bottom. A fascinating paper toy, or a historical momento of Wellington's battles. Quite an unusual piece.
Condition: Very nice. Minor age wear to the discs.
Size: Diameter- 1 7/8 inches. Thickness- a bit over 1/4 inch.
