A quite unusual gold colored pencil holder and no trumps indicator. The instrument has a sliding knob which allows a wooden pencil to be extended as it is used up, but the interesting feature of the pencil is the glass covered disc at the top. The face of the disc has a hand that points to a small window which can indicate clubs, hearts, spades, or diamonds. To the left of the hand are the words "What are Trumps". The suite can be changed by rotating a textured bezel on the moveable rim. Marked on the side of the disc- 'PE & Co. PL Patent' A really neat collectible piece.
Condition: Very good.
Size: Length- 3 3/8 inches. Disc- 7/8 inch in diameter.

A really unusual and colorful Bakelite piece, showing a black Bakelite stork with a long yellow bill and yellow and black glass eyes. The sides of the stork are incised to give the effect of feathers. Bakelite base is a wonderful mottled amber color with a hexagonal lined inkwell to one side. There are two grooves in the base to hold pens, and the piece stands on four small metal feet. Really a fun Bakelite piece.
Condition: Very nice.
Size: height-4 7/8 inches; width- 5 1/2 inches; depth- 3 5/8 inches.
